Wheel

Urdhva Dhanurasana

Wheel is a full backbend pressing up from your back onto your hands and feet. It is a deep pose, and Erin pairs it with Bridge so you can choose either.

How to do Wheel

  1. Lie on your back with your heels near your hips.
  2. Flip your hands by your ears with your fingers pointing toward your heels.
  3. Draw your elbows in.
  4. Lift your hips and press gently to the crown of your head.
  5. Press up to straight arms and draw your knees toward one another.

Common mistakes

  • Letting the knees splay out wide.
  • Letting the elbows flare out.
