Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 3, 2026

These terms cover Five Parks Yoga retreats, workshops and yoga teacher trainings, in Costa Rica and anywhere else we gather in person. We wrote them in plain English on purpose, so you know exactly what you are signing up for before you book. Please read them, and if anything is unclear, ask us first. We would much rather answer a question now than sort out a misunderstanding later.

Our free online classes on YouTube are not covered here. They are free, they stay free, and nothing on this page changes that.

1. Who we are

Five Parks Yoga is a trade name of Colorado Web Solutions, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. Our mailing address is 7765 Wadsworth Blvd #740207, Arvada, CO 80005, USA. Five Parks School of Yoga is also a trade name of the same company. When these terms say “we”, “us” or “Five Parks Yoga”, they mean Colorado Web Solutions, LLC and its owners, teachers and retreat assistants. “You” means the person booking and each person attending.

2. How these terms fit with your booking

When you book, you also sign a participant agreement and release through our booking platform, WeTravel. These terms, the event page you booked from and that signed agreement work together. If the event page lists a specific date, price or deadline for your event, that detail applies to your booking.

3. Retreats: booking and payment

  • Prices are per person, in US dollars, and depend on the room you choose. Each retreat page lists the room options, what is included and the current price.
  • Deposit. A 50% deposit is required to hold your place. The deposit is non-refundable.
  • Final payment is due approximately 90 days before the retreat starts. The exact date is shown on the retreat page and in your booking.
  • Payment plans, where offered, follow the schedule shown in your WeTravel booking.
  • Late payment. If your final payment has not arrived by the due date, we may release your place to someone on the waitlist after reminding you. Payments more than 30 days late may be charged a US$200 late fee.
  • Payment processing is handled by WeTravel. We never see or store your card details.

4. Retreats: if you need to cancel

We are a small family business, and we commit to the venue, the food and the team months ahead on your behalf. That is why this policy is firm.

  • More than 90 days before the retreat (before the final payment date): you may cancel, and any amount you paid above the deposit is refunded. The deposit is not refundable.
  • Within 90 days of the retreat (on or after the final payment date): no part of your payment is refundable.
  • Leaving early or missing days, for any reason, does not earn a partial refund.
  • Illness, injury, travel delays, weather and personal emergencies are exactly what travel insurance is for (see section 9). They do not change this policy.
  • Transferring your place. Before the final payment date, you may ask to transfer your place to another person. They must book through WeTravel, sign the participant agreement and fit the room you booked. We approve transfers by email.

To cancel, email us. Your cancellation date is the day we receive your email.

5. Yoga teacher training: booking, payment and cancellation

  • Deposit. A non-refundable deposit of US$1,000 is due when you book. It is applied to your total training fee, which depends on the lodging option you choose.
  • Remaining payments are due on the dates shown on the training page and in your booking.
  • Refunds. Training payments are non-refundable once made. If you cannot attend, contact us as early as possible.
  • Online coursework. Part of the training is completed online before the in-person intensive. You must finish the required online modules before you arrive.
  • Certification. Five Parks School of Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. To receive your certificate, you must complete the required online coursework and in-person hours and meet the training’s assessment requirements. Completing the training does not guarantee registration with Yoga Alliance; registering is your responsibility and is subject to Yoga Alliance’s own rules and fees.
  • Late payment. Payments more than 30 days late may be charged a US$200 late fee.

6. Workshops

Workshops follow the same rules as retreats unless the workshop page says otherwise: payment holds your place, and refunds follow whatever deadline is printed on the workshop page.

7. If we cancel or change an event

  • If we cancel an event for any reason, including low enrollment, illness of the lead teacher, a venue problem, a natural disaster, a public health emergency or a government travel restriction, we will refund everything you paid us for that event.
  • Our refund is limited to what you paid us. We cannot reimburse flights, other travel, hotels, visas or other costs you arranged yourself. This is another reason we recommend travel insurance and refundable or changeable flights.
  • Changes. We may adjust the schedule, activities, teachers, rooms or venue when needed, for weather, safety or reasons outside our control. If we make a major change before the event, such as moving it to a different venue or different dates, we will tell you as soon as we can, and you may choose a full refund instead.

8. What is included

Each event page lists exactly what is and is not included. In general, our Costa Rica retreats include lodging, most meals, daily yoga and the activities listed. They do not include airfare, airport shuttles (we help arrange them for an additional fee, about US$60 each way), travel insurance, laundry, spa services, excursions, beverages beyond those served with meals, and gratuities.

9. Travel insurance

We strongly encourage every guest to buy travel insurance as soon as you book, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical and emergency evacuation cover. Many policies offer “cancel for any reason” coverage only if you buy it within a short window after your first payment. Travel insurance is the only way to protect your payment if you need to cancel inside our refund deadlines.

10. Travel documents and getting there

  • You are responsible for your own passport, visas, entry requirements and any health requirements for the country you are visiting. Check them well before you travel.
  • You are responsible for your flights and for getting to and from the venue at the times we give you. Please book flights that fit the arrival and departure windows on the event page.
  • Travel abroad carries risks that are different from home, including different standards of roads, medical care, food and water. Please take that into account when deciding to come.

11. Your health and safety

  • Yoga, breathwork, swimming, hiking and the other activities on our events are physical. Please check with your doctor before you book, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart or blood pressure condition, or are recovering from an injury, surgery or illness.
  • Tell us about any injuries, health conditions, pregnancy, allergies and dietary needs on your intake form, and tell your teacher before class if anything changes. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs but cannot guarantee an allergen-free kitchen.
  • Listen to your body. Every pose and activity is optional. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
  • Our teachers are yoga teachers, not medical professionals. Nothing we teach is medical advice.
  • Activities you choose to do on your own or with outside providers, such as surfing, zip lines, tours or spa services, are arranged between you and that provider and are at your own risk.
  • In an emergency, you consent to us arranging medical care for you, at your own cost.

12. Respect for the group

Retreats work because everyone looks after the space and each other. We ask every guest to treat other guests, our team, the venue staff and the property with respect, and to follow the house rules of the venue. If someone’s behavior puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the group, we may ask them to leave, without a refund.

13. Photos, video and filming

We take photos and video at our events, and Erin sometimes films classes for the Five Parks Yoga YouTube channel. Being filmed is always optional.

When you book, the participant agreement asks your permission for us to use photos and video that include you in our own educational and promotional content: our websites, social media, emails and our YouTube channels, including Five Parks Yoga and Five Parks Life. Some of those channels earn advertising revenue.

What we will not do: we will never sell your photo, license it to anyone else, use it as stock imagery, or use it to advertise another company’s product without your separate written permission.

If you would prefer not to appear, tell us at check-in and we will keep you out of the frame and out of anything we publish. If you change your mind later, email us and we will stop using images of you in anything new.

14. Assumption of risk and liability

By attending, you accept the risks of physical activity and of travel. The participant agreement and release you sign at booking sets out the full terms, including the release of liability, how any dispute is resolved and the law that applies. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to an event is limited to the amount you paid us for that event.

15. Privacy

We use the information you give us (contact details, intake and health information, dietary needs, emergency contacts and travel details) only to run your event and keep you safe. We share it only with the people who need it to look after you, such as the venue kitchen and our shuttle drivers, and we never sell it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the day you booked applies to your booking.
