Warrior 3 is a standing balance in which the body tips forward into one long line from fingertips to lifted heel. It builds strength in the standing leg and the back of the body.
How to do Warrior 3
- Stand on one leg.
- Reach your arms forward with your biceps by your ears.
- Hinge forward as one long line.
- Lift your back leg until your body is parallel with the floor.
- Press through the ball of the lifted foot.
Common mistakes
- Opening the lifted hip.
- Locking the standing knee.

- Use a wall or chair.
