Extended Side Angle keeps the front knee bent like Warrior 2 while the torso leans over the front leg and the top arm reaches long. It strengthens the legs and stretches the side of the body.
How to do Extended Side Angle
- From Warrior 2, lean your torso over your front thigh.
- Rest your forearm on your front thigh, or bring your hand to a block or the floor.
- Press your elbow into your knee and your knee into your elbow.
- Reach your top arm up or over your ear.
- Roll your top shoulder open.
Common mistakes
- Dumping weight into the forearm on the thigh.
- Letting the front knee fall inward.
Make it easier
- Keep your forearm resting on your front thigh.
