Get to Know Five Parks Yoga

Welcome to the Crew, I'm so grateful you're here.

Meet Erin Sampson

Founder of Five Parks Yoga

Hi, I’m Erin — the person you see on the mat, behind the camera, and living a life rooted in authenticity, purpose, and deep appreciation for the practice of yoga.

What you’ll find in my classes — whether online or in person — is the real me. I’m not performing or presenting a perfected version of a yoga teacher. I’m sharing my own lived experience, one breath at a time. I’m accessible, down-to-earth, and genuinely passionate about this practice because it has changed my life. And I believe it can change yours, too.

Yoga has carried me through seasons of deep change and personal transformation. It’s been my anchor through uncertainty, my connection to community, and my daily reminder to return to what matters most – whatever is happening in the present moment. Whether I’m filming in Costa Rica, teaching a retreat in the Colorado mountains, or guiding a class from my home studio, my intention is always the same: to create a space where you can show up just as you are, and leave feeling more connected — to your breath, your body, and your life.

My hope is that Five Parks Yoga feels like your home for practice — a place where you can return again and again, not because you’re trying to “get better” at yoga, but because you want to live more fully, more freely, and more in tune with yourself.

Welcome to the community. I’m so glad you’re here.

The Story of Five Parks Yoga

How did we end up here?

Five Parks Yoga began the way many good things do — with a single step, a spark of inspiration, and a whole lot of heart.

At the time, I was teaching yoga in person in my local community in Colorado. I had no intention of creating a YouTube channel or building a global audience. I just loved sharing yoga with others and witnessing how it could bring people back to themselves — breath by breath, class by class.

In 2015, I filmed my first class with a simple setup and an open heart. I uploaded it to YouTube, thinking maybe a few friends or former students might use it to practice when they couldn’t make it to class. What I didn’t expect was the ripple effect. More and more people started watching, subscribing, and practicing — from all around the world.

And just like that, Five Parks Yoga became more than a place — it became a community.

As the channel grew, so did my commitment to making high-quality, accessible yoga classes available to anyone, anywhere, anytime. No ads. No gimmicks. Just real yoga taught by a real person, in beautiful locations, with the intention to inspire connection and transformation.

Over time, Five Parks Yoga has expanded far beyond the screen. I now lead yoga retreats in Colorado, Costa Rica, and beyond — bringing together people who found the practice online and want to deepen it in person. And more recently, Yoga Teacher Trainings have been added to our offerings. Five Parks Yoga has become a space for healing, growth, exploration, and wholehearted living.

It’s also become a reflection of my own journey — as a teacher, a mother, and a student of yoga always learning and evolving. What started in one small park with one small camera has become a worldwide practice of presence, community, and purpose.

I’m so grateful you’re here to be a part of it.
